Beauty Parlour Management System (BPMS)

A web-based Salon/Beauty Parlour Management System built using PHP and MySQL. It allows salon owners to manage their services, customer appointments, invoices, and sales reports efficiently. Clients can view available services and easily book appointments online.

Features

User / Client Side

  • View Services: Browse all the beauty and grooming services offered by the salon.
  • Make an Appointment: Book appointments by selecting a service, date, time, and providing contact details.
  • Responsive Design: A beautiful and mobile-friendly user interface built with Bootstrap.

Admin Panel

  • Dashboard: Overview of total customers, total appointments, total sales, etc.
  • Manage Services: Add, edit, or delete services offered (with pricing).
  • Manage Appointments: View incoming appointment requests, accept or reject them, and search through past appointments.
  • Customer Management: Maintain a list of customers and their details.
  • Invoicing: Generate invoices for customers and search through past invoices.
  • Reports: Generate sales reports between specific dates.

Technologies Used

  • Frontend: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap
  • Backend: PHP (compatible with PHP 8+)
  • Database: MySQL (uses mysqli extension)

Setup Instructions

  1. Clone the repository (or download the source code) to your local server directory (e.g., htdocs for XAMPP or www for WAMP/MAMP).
  2. Database Configuration:
    • Create a new MySQL database named salon (or your preferred name).
    • Import the provided .sql file (if available) into your database to set up the required tables (tblappointment, tblservices, tblpage, etc.).
    • Update the database credentials in the following files to match your local setup:
      • includes/dbconnection.php
      • admin/includes/dbconnection.php
  3. Access the Application:
    • User interface: http://localhost/salonsystem/index.php
    • Admin panel: http://localhost/salonsystem/admin/index.php (Use default admin credentials if applicable)
